Dr. Megan Sears

Dr. Megan Sears was born and raised in the North Bay area. She completed an Honours Bachelor of Science at the University of Waterloo, where she went on to receive her Optometry Degree in 2010. After graduating, Dr. Sears spent 4 years in Southwestern Ontario before happily returning to the north to take over Dr. Myles Knight’s practice. Dr. Sears enjoys seeing patients of all ages. In her free time Dr. Sears enjoys spending as much time as possible outside with her husband and 2 daughters.

Dr. Angela Giddens

Dr. Angela Giddens was born and raised in the North Bay area. She completed her Honours Bachelor of Science and Optometry Degree at the University of Waterloo in 2003. After graduating she practiced in North Bay and Alberta before settling back in North Bay in 2008. Dr. Giddens enjoys seeing patients of all ages. In her free time Dr. Giddens enjoys participating in triathlons, skiing and camping with her two kids.

Dr. Susan Wright Burke

Dr. Wright Burke was raised in the North Bay area. She graduated from The University of Waterloo in 1978 and moved home to start her practice. Dr. Burke enjoys seeing patients of all ages and has been happy to follow growing families over her years in practice. When she’s not in the office, Dr. Wright Burke enjoys spending time at the lake with her family.

Karen-Anne

Karen-Anne joined the team in 2020, bringing with her over 20 years of experience as a licensed Optician in the North Bay area. As our Optical Manager, she leads the optical team with a positive attitude, exceptional product knowledge, and a genuine passion for helping patients find the perfect pair of glasses to suit both their vision needs and personal style.

Samantha

Samantha joined our team in 2021 and successfully completed her Opticianry program while working full-time in our clinic. We are proud to celebrate her achievement of becoming a licensed Optician in January 2026. Samantha stays current with the latest eyewear trends and is dedicated to providing every patient with knowledgeable, personalized care and outstanding service.

Bree

Bree joined our team in 2023 and brings over seven years of valuable optical experience. Her calm, caring, and approachable nature helps patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their experience in our office. Bree is committed to ensuring each patient receives attentive service and finds eyewear that meets their individual needs.

Janice

 Janice joined our team in 2025 with over 30 years of experience as a licensed Optician and Contact Lens Specialist. With her extensive knowledge and expertise, Janice enjoys taking on complex contact lens fittings and works diligently to find the best solutions for each patient’s unique visual needs.

Lan

Lan joined our team in 2026 with five years of experience. Her bubbly personality and friendly approach make choosing the right frames an enjoyable and stress-free experience. Lan is passionate about helping patients feel confident in their eyewear while providing excellent customer care.

Pre-Test Staff

Jill and Melanie will do your pre-testing when you arrive in the office and additional testing as needed.

Jill

Jill comes to us with 11 years of experience working in a busy Ophthalmology clinic. Jill’s attention to detail and keen interest in our equipment make her an asset in our office.

Melanie

Melanie has recently joined Bay Vision Care after completing her Medical Office Administrator Diploma, and we are lucky to have her. Melanie will put you at ease with her calm, patient and professional nature.

Office Manager

Franca started with Dr. Wright Burke more than 10 years ago, but already has 25 years of experience in this field. Franca has previously completed her Certified Optometric Assistant’s course, which has contributed to her extensive knowledge of all aspects of our office. Franca’s attention to detail, and warm and caring nature make her the perfect fit as our Office Manager.
